seattle family photographer | go huskies!

In honor of Apple Cup yesterday (the annual matchup of University of Washington and Washington State University football teams) I wanted to post this adorable photo from a family photo session last weekend. It's holiday card season and families everywhere are trying to choose the perfect photographs to send out to their relatives across the country. I can't think of a better image from the great state of Washington than of these cute little cousins wearing the opposing colors. I had a blast with this family! (Oh and in case you wonder who won the game, it was the Huskies :) ) Go Dawgs!

seattle engagement photographer | randall & beth.

Seattle is one of the most amazing cities. I love all of the unique neighborhoods, restaurants, environments, activities and yes, even the cloudy weather. My job allows me not only to meet some incredible people that live here, but it also allows me to explore new places - and who doesn't love that? As a photographer, I'm constantly inspired by what's around me. That brings me to the story of Randall and Beth. I knew I would get along with these two from the start as they are both really into adventuring and exploring. All you have to do is check out the beautiful photography on Randall's website to see that. I've found that everyone I meet has places in Seattle that are close to their heart. It's such a large diverse city that it's easy to find your own little corner. This engagement session was spent near where Randall and Beth feel comfortable - in Fisherman's Terminal. There's something so magical about walking through the rows of those enormous fishing boats. Each one has a story and each one has been through it's own trials and errors out on the open sea. The smell of the salty air, the soft creaking of the dock, the sound of the seagulls. It's a beautiful place and I was so excited to have the opportunity to take photos there. Afterwards we walked along the Fremont Canal to admire the last of the beautiful fall leaves. Seeing new settings and meeting new people makes me so grateful for the business that I have grown the past few years and the opportunity to be doing something that I love. Here are just a few images from this wonderful couple's engagement session. Congratulations Randall & Beth!

seattle engagement photographer | mike & kendahl.

This fall has seriously been amazing! I've been meeting so many new and fun couples, booking Washington weddings for next summer, and of course, shooting a lot of photos with the beautiful fall leaves in various locations around this amazing city. Mike & Kendahl's session was one of many from the last two weeks. We toured a little bit around the Arboretum, spent some time wandering around Husky Stadium (go dawgs!) then went and walked through our favorite campus ever. You can't look at these images and tell me that you don't think University of Washington has one of the most beautiful campuses around. I just love that place. Anyway, I had some serious fun with these two and I'm just in love with, well, all of their photos. Congrats to Mike & Kendahl! :)

While we spent a lot of time roaming around Fisherman's Terminal and the Fremont Canal, I was very excited to collaborate with Randall on this shot of the two of them on the bike path with a cyclist whizzing by. Here's just a preview from their session today with many more amazing shots to come!

jackson hole wedding photographer | the coffee table album.

There's always something magical about seeing your images in print -- the full story, all laid out in one pretty little package. This week I received this beautiful album from Jaydee and Dani's wedding back in September. First I just have to say, that I LOVE my album company. They make the most beautiful products with a ton of different materials so that each of my clients can personalize their album. The cover on this album is their "Academy Award" material. It's so lovely and soft! Second of all, the quality and "green-friendly" concept of these albums just can't be beat! Check out a few images of this Coffee Table Album made just for Jaydee and Dani:
