Falling in Love with Fall

As I stare out my window, dark clouds are roaring over the Tetons. The tired yellow aspen leaves cling to their branches, only to be soon whipped off by a frosty gust of wind. Fall is quickly changing into winter here. Last weekend I was driving up to Montana for a wedding and drove through a snow storm most of the way. Grizzly bears feast on roadside berries and moose are trotting around in my backyard. Yellowstone has open and closed their roads multiple times due to bad weather, and dried leaves blanket the ground. The bright colors of the valley contrast against a crisp blue sky on sunny days and snow covered mountains loom overhead. This is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Jackson Hole, and there aren't even that many people here to see it. Before all of my pretty yellow aspen leaves float to the ground I wanted to share a few photos with you that I took this fall. I was also able to sneak in one last camping trip before the snow fell. Enjoy!

Anne & Steve's Engagement Session

Steve proposed to Anne at the top of the gondola at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in a foot of fresh snow. I can't think of a more perfect proposal for a couple like this. I've known Anne since college and I was thrilled when I found out she was marrying long time local Steve Jones. They are getting married next week in Bozeman, Montana and I am so excited to be a part of their wedding. Not only that, I was honored to have the opportunity to take some engagement photos for them. We live just around the corner from each other and I knew that our backyard in the Aspens would be the perfect location in the fall. They showed up looking incredibly adorable with a bottle of champagne in hand. I couldn't resist getting the "family portrait" with their dog, Ripley, too. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Congratulations Anne & Steve!
