thank you 2013.

Last year at this time, I was unsure of where the next year would take me. I wasn't sure if I'd be living in Jackson Hole to celebrate another new year, or in Seattle. Well after that tough decision was made, I haven't been more sure that I made the right one. With several weddings already on the books for next year and a multitude of engagement and portrait shoots recently, I feel confident that I can just go full speed ahead towards my dream. I never thought I would have this many bookings already in a new city but it's really happening. I couldn't be happier really. On top of that, I'm sticking to what the foundation of my photography was built on -- capturing moments. REAL moments. Natural, emotion-driven moments. I want people to look at my photographs and actually feel what the people are feeling in the images. If you want to hike to the top of a mountain and say your vows, I'm right there with you, camera in hand. If you want to sail away in a canoe from your ceremony, I won't miss a beat. Wherever you feel at home, I want to photograph you there. Whatever you do together that makes you tick, I want to capture it. In the end, isn't that what a photograph is all about? Moments are fleeting, and we realize that during this time of year the most. So in honor of this, I wanted to compile some of my favorite moments of the year. And thank you to all of my beautiful clients and support from my family for making this dream of mine come to life. Here's to another, amazing year ahead.

seattle wedding photographer | ravishing radish open house.

I recently photographed one of Ravishing Radish's wonderful open house events. I absolutely loved the "vintage travel" theme, the food was amazing (as usual) and it was great to mingle with other vendors and couples getting married next year. I highly recommend Ravishing Radish if you are in need of a caterer or a bar for your private party or wedding. The people that work there are amazing and fun to work with and the food and drink is so good!

seattle engagement photographer | david & valerie.

I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. I know I did! So much delicious food, wonderful family time and relaxation. I just can't believe it's already December! To start of the month, I have some beautiful engagement photos to share with you. This sweet couple, getting married next fall in Woodinville, chose to have their engagement session at Seward Park. They used to take walks there together when they first started dating and I can see why. With the lovely forest trails, waterfront beaches and Seattle skyline views, it truly has a full sampling of everything that city-living in the Northwest has to offer. We headed out in November for the last leaves of fall. I love how these turned out and I'm so glad to be a part of this couple's wedding festivities. Congrats you two!
