seattle engagement photographer | a hike up rattlesnake ledge

Any time a couple suggests doing something out of the ordinary or adventurous for an engagement session, you can count me in! Remember this one? So when Alaina mentioned to me that they might want to do a little hiking outside the city limits there was no way I could turn her down. On a sunny summer Sunday, we made our way up the trail all the way to Rattlesnake Ledge. This place is stunning. The views alone make for some amazing photos, add in a little bit of romance, and you have an engagement session to remember. I hope you enjoy these photos of our adventure and that it inspires other couples to think outside of the box for their engagement photos.

seattle engagement photographer | husky stadium proposal.

When Braden first inquired with me about photographing his proposal to his lovely lady Sharelle, I could hardly contain my excitement. I absolutely love photographing proposals. It's no surprise that after spending their college years together as a part of the University of Washington's Husky Marching Band that Braden wanted to propose to Sharelle in Husky Stadium. So, with a little help from friends, we made it happen. I can't say enough about how much fun it was to watch the proposal, and also to just get to know this super sweet couple throughout the whole process. Congratulations to these two, I hope you have the most wonderful engagement!

seattle engagement photographer | stephen & elisabeth.

This couple. Creative, talented, smart -- they just go together. When I first met them, I knew that I really wanted to be a part of their wedding festivities. Not just because Stephen is a talented designer and Elisabeth is creative and her wedding ideas are so incredibly unique, and also not because the wedding is in Leavenworth (albeit a huge plus), but because of the way they are together. You can just tell that they get along so well and there is a genuine affection for each other. Seeing them pull out their laptops and passionately talk about their wedding plans and ideas was just so wonderful and made me feel like I was right along there with them making the big plans. Elisabeth told me she wanted to have their engagement photos taken with the cherry blossoms. So on a quiet day in March, we took a stroll through the beautiful Washington Arboretum and I got to capture their love.
